Wilcox donates 72,000 eggs to Emergency Food Network

The Easter Bunny will have to work overtime to top this one.

Roy-based Wilcox Farms donated more than 72,000 eggs to the Emergency Food Network in Lakewood today. It’s part of United Egg Producers and Feeding America’s efforts nationwide to fight hunger.

“Helping neighboring families in need is of the utmost importance to our industry,” said Wendi Shaw, of Wilcox Farms, in a prepared statement. “We’re proud to offer our help and support when our community needs it now more than ever.”

The Emergency Food Network supplied more than 65 food banks and hot meal sites, and provides nearly 9 million meals annually to 840,000 people.
